When wedding photographers dont deliver

Have you ever experienced the crushing disappointment of eagerly awaiting something for months, only to have it never arrive? This is exactly how my spouse and I felt when our wedding photos failed to materialize as expected. We had hoped to relive our special day through the beautiful photos, but the photographer failed to deliver. Although we initially gave the photographer the benefit of the doubt and assumed they were just busy, weeks turned into months, and our frustration grew with each passing day. We tried to contact them multiple times, but they always had some excuse about why they could not deliver. Not having our wedding photos was heartbreaking. We felt like we had lost something that we would never be able to get back. We had spent so much time and money planning our wedding, and the photos were crucial to preserving those memories.

 

Looking back, we realize that we should have been more careful when choosing a photographer. We ultimately chose an old college friend who seemed like she had everything together, but we should have done more research and read reviews from other couples who had worked with them. If you're planning a wedding, I advise you to do your due diligence when choosing a photographer. Make sure you read reviews, ask for references, and clearly understand their process and timeline.

 

If you do find yourself in a similar situation, don't be afraid to be assertive and persistent in following up with them. In our case, we were lucky enough to find a kind attorney who helped us by sending a letter to the photographer on our behalf. Although he advised us that there was not much we could do legally, the letter was enough to prompt the photographer to deliver some but not all of our wedding photos. Despite the delay and the awful experience, we are grateful to have those memories captured forever.
